I worked in the psych day program that still runs there when i was a case manager for the mentally ill. Once upon a time, Pilgrim state was the biggest psych hospital in the world with 16,000 inpatients, today it only has 600 inpatients, a day program, and a drug program. It is a very, very creepy fucked up place, most of the grounds are condemned.
